ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • This person will lead our efforts to build and test new semiconductor RF system and subsystem designs in a pilot line setting and release them to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) sites around the world
  • Leads the Implementation of methods, operation sequences, and assembly/test processes to reliably produce complex semiconductor capital equipment systems, and their sub-assemblies, in a repeatable manner
  • Leads team to identify, troubleshoot, document, and resolve complex RF hardware, software, and electrical problems with development, manufacturing, and test engineering technology
  • Works with cross-functional teams in support of key business initiatives as part of the Lam Product Development and Release (PDR) process
  • Leads the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED EXPERTISE:

  • MS in Electrical Engineering and years of experience in high power RF design
  • High voltage power supply design and high power RF system, subsystem & filter design including path / margin analysis
  • RF engineering design experience with shielding, power supplies, RF measurements, calibration techniques, and signal analysis
  • Practical "hands-on" experience with industrial electronics, control systems, and I/O, and RF measurement equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, oscilloscopes
  • Experience rapidly designing & manufacturing high power RF products with high yield in volume manufacturing
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent analysis and trouble-shooting skills
  • Semiconductor industry and plasma processing capital equipment experience a plus
  • Cable harness design, documentation, and fabrication
  • Experience working with vendors to implement your designs in a timely and cost-effective fashion
  • Must be able to work well in a cross functional environment involving product engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers
